Tornado formed over Camden County and moved NE through parts of Morgan, Miller, Moniteau, Cole, and Callaway Counties.  Tornado moved through SE part of Moniteau County near High Point.  Tornado killed at total of 14 and injured 90.

A tornado moving NE touched down 1 mile S and 0.5 mile E of Latham, destroying all buildings except the house on one farm and lesser damage on 3 other farms.  It then moved NE causing little damage for 5 miles until it unroofed and destroyed a bowling alley on U.S. Highway 50 on the W and N sides of California.

A small tornado touched down briefly over California, causing moderate damage to roofs and windows at the Moniteau Mills.  Although the storm path was only 30 to 50 yards wide, it was strong enough to pick up 6 concrete firewall slabs weighing close to 300 pounds each.

A tornado touched down briefly on a farm 0.25 mile E of the County Route T and Highway 87 intersection 4 miles S of California.  Moving NE, it damaged a chicken house, a large equipment shed and some trees.

A tornado was spotted by police a few miles SE of Tipton.

The police reported a second tornado just E of Tipton moving E.  This was confirmed by the Delta Flight Sight Manager at Whiteman AFB.

A tornado totally destroyed 2 houses and produced extensive damage to 5 other houses.  One home received minor damage.  Numerous trees and lines were downed.  This tornado was seen by police.

A small, brief tornado formed near California. A couple of storm spotters observed the brief tornado north of California. The tornado formed over open farmland, kicked up some dirt and dissipated. This was the first of 6 tornadoes that a High Precipitation Supercell produced in the National Weather Service St. Louis County Warning Area.
