Future Rainfall/QPF:

The duration of QPF used by MBRFC in river forecasts and outlooks varies with the time of year because of the reduced confidence level in the QPF during the convective season.  The Significant River Flood Outlook routinely includes 24 hours of QPF from April 1 to September 30, and 48 hours of QPF from October 1 to March 31.  River forecasts from MBRFC routinely include 12 hours of QPF from April 1 to September 30, and 24 hours of QPF from October 1 to March 31.
