SHARES TALENTS Jennifer Warmke, Deputy Director of the Dodge County Office of Emergency Management recently designed a series of coloring books related to the natural disasters that have been occurring in the county this past year. The series, entitled "Sam, The Disaster Horse" has been distributed state-wide to county emergency management officials and now will be distributed nation-wide by the National Weather Service. This series of coloring books contain tips and safety information aimed towards children. There are three books in the series, one on lightning safety, flood safety and another on tornado safety. Jennifer felt the need to design educational and fun books geared for children after the recent series of disasters to strike the area. "There aren't a lot of educational books for children out there relating to natural disasters. This is a fun way for children to learn about what to do and what not to do during a threatening situation." Thanks, Jennifer!! |
