    • WRF-ARW runs initialize from a LAPS analysis on an identical domain. Specifications of the LAPS analysis are:
      • LAPS version 0-31-13
      • Datasets used in analysis include METAR, WSR-88D radars, Maritime, RAOB, MADIS Profiler NOAA & External), MADIS Aircraft (including TAMDAR), MADIS Mesonet, GOES-12 Imager
  • 31 vertical levels
  • 50 mb model top
  • fully compressible non-hydrostatic dynamics
  • mass based terrain following vertical coordinate
  • No convective parameterization
  • Lin et al. microphysics
  • Yonsei Planetary Boundary Layer Physics
  • Rapid Radiative Transfer Model longwave radiation scheme
  • Dudhia shortwave radiation scheme
