During the past 24 hours a band of rain showers pushed across southeastern Missouri...southern Illinois...northern Indiana and southern lower Michigan. The heaviest band of around one inch fell in southeastern Missouri and southern Illinois. Otherwise around a quarter inch or less was reported in the other areas. During the next 24 hours...rainfall totals of up to a quarter inch are forecast for eastern North Dakota and north western Minnesota in the Red River Valley. Temperatures should be warm enough during the next 24 hours to keep this band of precipitation rain. ...Hydrologic Conditions... Heavy rains fell over the NCRFC area late last week and over the weekend. As a result there is minor flooding occurring in eastern Iowa...eastern Missouri and the Illinois River basin. Moderate flooding is occurring at: - Iowa River at Marengo Iowa - Wapsipinicon River at Dewitt Iowa More precipitation is expected Thursday through Saturday as a new low moves through the NCRFC region on Thursday and Friday.
