Precipitation fell across the northern third of the NCRFC region during the past 24 hours. Across North Dakota...Minnesota and northwestern Wisconsin the rain changed to snow. Water equivalents in these areas were genterally less than a tenth of an inch although isolated readings of a quarter inch or so were received. Across Michigan rain fell...with the heaviest amounts falling in the eastern upper peninsula where a half to three quarters of an inch were reported. Across lower Michigan amounts were a tenth of an inch or less. Rain and or snow is forecast from the Minnesota arrowhead... across the upper peninsula and far northern lower Michigan as well as portions of Wisconsin. Water equivalents should total less than a quarter inch. Monday into Tuesday most precipitation is expected to remain over Michigan where a tenth to quarter inch water equivalent is forecast. Tuesday into Wednesday The entire region could see some precipitation. Northern Iowa and southern Minnesota could receive a quarter inch while the remainder of Minnesota and the upper peninsula of Michigan could see a tenth of an inch. The remainder of the precipitation should total less than a tenth of an inch. ...Hydrologic Conditions... Flooding continues in the Red River of the North in the Fargo area. In Iowa moderate flood levels are and will continue to occur. Eastern Missouri and most of Illinois also have high water levels. In Michigan the levels are staying below flood stage that this time.
