| A slow moving storm system brought widespread rainfall to northeast Kansas. The first round of thunderstorms moved across the area on Thursday night with nearly 5 inches of rain being reported in Geary county. A second round of precipitation on Friday night provided many locations with more than an inch of precipitation. For most of the area, the most widespread precipitation came Saturday into Saturday night when a widespread 1 to 5 inches fell. Three day totals indicate that all of northeast Kansas with the exception of parts of Franklin, Douglas, southern Osage, and northern Coffey counties received more than an inch of beneficial rain. | ||
