Rainfall Reports from July 6th and 7th

Areas of heavy rainfall fell over portions of central and eastern South Dakota on July 6th and 7th.  Rainfall totals in excess of 2 inches fell over portions of Hyde, Hand, Faulk, Spink, Clark, Codington, and Hamlin Counties - with locally higher amounts in excess of 3 inches.  Below are rainfall maps based on observations (Figure 1) and also estimates from the NWS Aberdeen doppler radar (Figure 2), as well as an exhaustive list of rainfall reports from this most recent heavy rain/flooding event.
