Unsettled Weather Late This Week into the Weekend - Severe Storms Possible!

Our recent dry weather pattern is expected to transition to a wet and unsettled pattern beginning later today and then continue into the upcoming weekend. Plentiful moisture from the Gulf of Mexico will increase over the northern plains today, and then persist over the Dakota's through early next week. As a result, expect an increasing chance for showers and thunderstorms today and Friday, with widespread showers and storms possible this weekend into early next week.  In fact, the five day rainfall total through next Tuesday will likey range from 1"-3" - with locally higher amounts.

More importantly, there is an increasing threat for severe storms on Friday and Saturday. Anyone with outdoor plans or graduations this weekend is urged to keep up with the latest forecasts. Below are several links that can provide more information on the outlook for severe weather:
