Heavy Rain From May 17th and 18th

Widespread Showers and Thunderstorms

May 17th and 18th

An area of low pressure that tracked from the Rocky Mountains into the Central Plains, and is now situated overhead was responsible for the slow moving thunderstorms and widespread heavy rain late last week and over the weekend. Though some of the area experienced severe weather, including hail and strong winds, much of region received a bout of much needed rainfall. Below is a list of rainfall amounts from between May 17th and 18th. Though more rain is likely as this system slowly drifts across the northern plains this week, widespread heavy rainfall is not expected.
