April 4th Historic Snowfall

Cold air trapped north of the Straits of Mackinac will combine with a storm system moving into the southern Great Lakes, to generate some heavy spring snowfall today across East Upper Michigan. 

The highest snowfall through tonight is expected over northwest Chippewa County between Trout Lake and Whitefish point, with amounts nearing 7 inches.
