August 2010 Recap

Another Warm Month

Despite the lack of any prolonged heat waves, consistent warm weather through the month resulted in all of the following location observing one of their top 10 warmest Augusts on record.  This also wrapped up one of the warmest summers on record.

Per the usual for summer, precipitation amounts were highly variable.  One trend noted was for wetter than normal conditions across Eastern Upper Michigan, with amounts tapering off as one went south.  This brought a nice reprieve from the recent dry stretch of weather found across areas north of the Mighty Mac.
