Lake Enhanced Snow and Blowing Snow Expected Today

A fast moving weather system will move into the Great Lakes region today bringing gusty southwest winds and a round of lake enhanced snowfall.  Several inches of snow accumulation are expected west of M-123 in Mackinac County, and along the Lake Michigan shoreline from the Leelanau Peninsula south to Manistee.  Gusty southwest winds will produce areas of reduced visibilities with blowing snow.  Near white-out conditions are possible at times in the above areas.
