Icy Roadways and Walkways Tonight into Friday

...SLICK AND HAZARDOUS ROADWAYS AND WALKWAYS TONIGHT INTO FRIDAY..

WIDESPREAD RAIN AND FREEZING RAIN WILL DEVELOP DURING THE BALANCE OF THE EVENING ACROSS AREAS SOUTH OF M-32 IN NORTHERN LOWER MICHIGAN...AND WILL CONTINUE TO SPREAD NORTHEAST THROUGH THE TIP OF THE MITT...THE STRAITS AREA AND INTO EASTERN UPPER MICHIGAN OVERNIGHT.   THE RISK OF FREEZING RAIN WILL PERSIST INTO FRIDAY MORNING BEFORE TEMPERATURES SUFFICIENTLY WARM FOR PRECIPITATION TO BECOME ALL RAIN BY LATE MORNING.  BOTH PRIMARY AND SECONDARY ROADWAYS...ALONG WITH SIDEWALKS AND OTHER PAVED AREAS...WILL BECOME SLICK AND HAZARDOUS TONIGHT INTO FRIDAY MORNING.  SECONDARY ROADS WHICH ARE STILL SNOW AND ICE COVERED WILL BE ESPECIALLY HAZARDOUS AS A NEW COATING OF ICE DEVELOPS FROM THE FREEZING RAIN. 

BE PREPARED FOR SLIPPERY AND HAZARDOUS ROADWAYS...WALKWAYS AND PAVED AREAS. SLOW DOWN AND USE CAUTION WHILE DRIVING AND WALKING...AND ALLOW EXTRA TIME TO REACH YOUR DESTINATION.
