An extended period of warmth across northern Michigan next week

Well above normal temperatures and humidity expected across northern Michigan next week.

 

The Great Lakes will be a transition zone early next week as weekend high pressure exits toward the Atlantic Sunday, while a weakly organized system builds into the northern Plains and western Great Lakes.

 

This pattern will generate afternoon temperatures in the mid 80s across northern Michigan next week. These temperatures will be around 10 degrees warmer than the normal high temperatures for the last week of August, which range between 70 and 75 degrees. Also, low temperatures are expected to be in the 60s across northern Michigan next week which will be 10 to 15 degrees warmer than the normal low temperatures for the last week of August, which range between 50 and 55 degrees.
