Severe Thunderstorms Possible This Afternoon and into the Evening Hours

Day 1 Severe Weather Outlook

Thunderstorms developing over the western Upper Peninsula of Michigan and Wisconsin have the possibility to become severe later this afternoon and into the evening hours as they move over eastern Upper and northern lower Michigan.

Hazards:

  • Damaging Winds: Wind gusts in excess of 60 mph possible with any storms
  • Large Hail: Hail 1/2" in diameter or larger possible
  • Tornadoes: An isolated tornado possible
  • Heavy Rain: Localized heavy rainfall possible
