Extended Period of Warm and Muggy

A weakly organized storm system will build into the western Great Lakes and northern Plains this weekend and become nearly stationary. This pattern will generate an extended period of warm and muggy air across northern Michigan this weekend, which will linger through the middle of next week.

Along with the warm and humid air, scattered rain showers and thunderstorms can also be expected across northern Michigan Friday through much of the upcoming work week.
