Record High Temp at Alpena

It was extremely warm across northern Michigan Tuesday, with most locations seeing afternoon temperatures in the upper 80s to mid 90s. Normal high temperatures across northern Michigan for that date range between 65 and 70 degrees.

 

A record high temperature was set at Alpena yesterday. The temperature in Alpena reached 95 degrees, which beat the old record of 94 degrees set in 1983.

 

Temperatures will be well above normal once again today, though trending more seasonal Thursday and Friday, with daytime temperatures only in the 60s.
