Snow Exiting East

Happening NOW:

Snow was exiting east early this morning, and should be up to the Mississippi River before 8 am. Some pockets of heavy snow will continue across southwest Wisconsin until that time - and could lay down an additional inch of snow. Elsewhere, any additional amounts will be under 1/2 inch.

Roads are snow covered and treacherous. Snow plows are busy, but have not gotten to all roads yet. The morning commute will be difficult for some, slippery for others. Exercise caution while traveling.

  • Pockets of heavy snow across southwest WI -  until 8 am 
  • Back-edge at the Mississippi River by 8 am
  • Totals: 3 to 6", isolated 6-8" amounts 
  • Winter Weather Advisory in Effect for southwest WI 

Impacts

  • Road conditions are hazardous early this morning 
  • Some MN counties not recommending travel 
  • Morning commute will be impacted by snow covered roads
  • Where snow is heaviest, visibilities will be reduced to 1/2 mile
