Temperatures:

Average temperatures ranged from 64.6 degrees at Medford, WI to 72.1 degrees at La Crosse, WI. These temperatures were 1 to 3 degrees above normal. The hottest temperature was 89 degrees at Boscobel, WI (16th), Oelwein, IA (3rd), Minnesota City Dam 5, MN (20th), and Prairie du Chien, WI (1st).  The coldest temperature was 41 degrees at Byron, MN (13th), Sparta, WI (13th), and Theilman, MN (13th).  The images below show the average temperatures and the temperature departure for the month.

Precipitation ranged from 4.11 inches at Necedah 5WNW, WI to 12.76 inches at Rushford, MN.  The Rushford precipitation total was enough to surpass their previous June precipitation record of 8.59 inches.  Precipitation records date back to 1949.  Precipitation depatures for the month ranged from 2 to 6 inches above normal.
