SKYWARN Recognition Day - Today

The La Crosse National Weather Service (NWS) is hosting SKYWARN Recognition Day today for amateur radio operators who help support storm spotting and relay critical severe weather information.

Amateur radio operators will operate radios from the La Crosse NWS office, making contacts with other amateur radio operators around the world and other NWS forecast offices around the country.  All amateur radio operators who assist with SKYWARN are welcome to visit the office today (Saturday, December 1st), or help with radio operations during the daytime (8 a.m. - 4 p.m.).
