SKYWARN Amateur Radio Recognition Day - Today

The La Crosse National Weather Service (NWS) is hosting SKYWARN Amateur Radio Recognition Day today for operators who help support storm spotting and relay critical severe weather information.  Join us on air or come help us operate radios at our office until around 4 p.m.

Amateur radio operators will operate radios from the La Crosse NWS office, making contacts with other amateur radio operators around the world and other NWS forecast offices around the country.  Again - all amateur radio operators who assist with SKYWARN are welcome to visit the office today (Saturday, December 7th), or help with radio operations during the daytime (thru 4 p.m.).
