This is Winter Weather Awareness Week - November 5-9

In cooperation with state emergency management agencies, the National Weather Service (NWS) is using this week (November 5-9) as Winter Weather Awareness Week in Minnesota and Wisconsin.  In Iowa, Winter Weather Awareness Day was November 8th.

Awareness weeks are used to remind people about the dangers of hazardous winter weather.  Ideas on winter weather preparedness are covered with the hope people remain safe this winter.
