Cold through Wednesday...Snow Late Thursday into Friday

 Cold conditions tonight - Wednesday morning:

  • Wind chills of 15 to 25 below zero late tonight.
  • Wind chill advisories are likely for portions of the area.

Winter Storm late Thursday into Friday:

  • Accumulating snow will spread across the area Thursday evening.
  • The heaviest snow is expected to fall Thursday night.
  • Accumulations of 6 inches (locally higher amounts) are expected across much of northeast Iowa, southeast Minnesota into portions of western Wisconsin. Winter Storm Watches are in effect.
  • Lesser snow amounts will fall east of storm track,  with 3 to 5 inches expected in central and north central Wisconsin.
