Smoky Skies Across the Region

Skies have appeared 'milkier' lately due to smoke that has been pulled down from wildfires ongoing in northern Canada.  Below are images of 1.) the source regions of the fires, along with the analyzed smoke plumes (as of Tuesday morning) and 2.) a visible satellite image from late Monday afternoon showing the mix of smoke and clouds coming south from Canada into the region.
