February Increasing Daylight

Literally the darkest days of winter are over.
Have you noticed the increasing amount of daylight since late
December? During late December there were several days at Bismarck
where the total amount of daylight was just 8 hours 32 minutes.
Sunrise was not until nearly 8:30 am and sunset was before 5:00 pm.
The amount of daylight has been increasing since then.
Monday, February 17, there was 10 hours 27 minutes of daylight.
We have gained nearly 2 hours since late December.
We are now gaining 3 to 4 minutes of daylight each day.
