A storm system will affect western and central North Dakota Tuesday evening through Thursday morning. Widespred rainfall accumulations of one half to three quarters of an inch are possible across North Dakota during this time frame. However, northwest and north central North Dakota have the potential to receive one to one and one half inches of rainfall with locally higher amounts. The southwest will likely receive the least amount of rainfall, on the order of one quarter to one half of an inch or less. The rain is forecast to slowly change over to snow from west to east Wednesday evening and into early Thursday morning, with less than one inch of accumulation possible in most locations, with 1-2 inches far north.
