An active weather pattern will bring a few rounds of Thunderstorms to the Northern Plains through Thursday. Although there is a slight chance of thunderstorms this afternoon across the far west and southern portions of the state today, most areas will remain dry during the day. However, by tonight thunderstorms are expected to develop across the northwest portion of the state, before spreading east across central North Dakota on Tuesday. A few of these storms may be severe on Tuesday, especially across the southeast. More heavy rain and possible severe weather will return again late Wednesday and Wednesday night, as a cold front moves across the state.
