Severe thunderstorms are forecast to possibly affect portions of western and central North Dakota Thursday and Friday. The first round of potentially severe thunderstorms will occur across the southwest and south central late Thursday afternoon and evening. A second, and potentially more widespread and severe round of thunderstorms are forecast late Friday afternoon and into the night, spreading from west to east across much of the area. Large hail, damaging winds, heavy rain, dangerous lightning and isolated tornadoes are possible with any severe thunderstorms that do develop.
