Another Arctic Blast Expected Sunday Through Tuesday

BITTERLY COLD TEMPERATURES DROPPING SOUTH OUT OF NORTHERN
CANADA...COMBINED WITH STRONG HIGH PRESSURE ACROSS ALBERTA...WILL SET
THE STAGE FOR DANGEROUS WIND CHILLS ACROSS THE REGION BEGINNING
SATURDAY EVENING ACROSS THE NORTH. THIS ARCTIC AIR WILL PUSH SOUTH
ACROSS THE REST OF THE AREA ON SUNDAY. THIS BITTERLY COLD AIR WILL
CONTINUE THROUGH TUESDAY. DAYTIME HIGH TEMPERATURES ARE EXPECTED
TO REMAIN AT OR BELOW ZERO...WITH OVERNIGHT TEMPERATURES FALLING WELL
BELOW ZERO. WINDS OF 10 TO 20 MPH ACCOMPANYING THIS BITTERLY COLD
AIR...WILL BRING WIND CHILLS OF 25 TO 40 BELOW ZERO TO THE AREA.

IN ADDITION TO THIS DANGEROUS COLD...PERIODS OF SNOW ARE POSSIBLE
ON SUNDAY AND SUNDAY NIGHT AS A POTENT UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE
AFFECTS THE AREA. THIS COULD BRING LIGHT TO MODERATE SNOW
ACCUMULATIONS TO PORTIONS OF THE AREA.

IF TRAVEL IS PLANED DURING THIS PERIOD STAY TUNED TO LATER
FORECASTS FOR POSSIBLE ADVISORIES OR WARNINGS THAT MAY BE ISSUED
FOR THE AREA.
