...ATTENTION OFFICIALS...MEDIA...AND PUBLIC...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN BISMARCK WILL SEND A DAMAGE
ASSESSMENT TEAM TO NORTH CENTRAL NORTH DAKOTA TODAY...NEAR THE
BOWBELLS AREA TO ASSESS THE DAMAGE DONE BY A CONFIRMED TORNADO
WHICH OCCURRED THURSDAY EVENING...AUGUST 12TH.

NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE EMPLOYEES WILL ALSO WORK CLOSELY WITH
STATE AND LOCAL OFFICIALS TO ASSESS THE DAMAGE DONE BY INTENSE
THUNDERSTORM WINDS ACROSS SOUTHWEST AND PORTIONS OF SOUTH CENTRAL
NORTH DAKOTA...WHICH ALSO OCCURRED LAST THURSDAY EVENING.
