Heavy Rain Possible Sunday Night Through Monday Night

...SIGNIFICANT RAIN IS FORECAST TO DAMPEN YOUR LABOR DAY...

PERIODS OF RAIN...HEAVY AT TIMES...ARE FORECAST FOR TODAY. AN
ISOLATED THUNDERSTORM IS ALSO POSSIBLE.

GENERALLY...RAINS AMOUNTS OF ONE TO TWO INCHES ARE FORECAST...
BUT...UP TO THREE INCHES COULD FALL OVER THE SOUTHEAST PART OF
THE AREA...SOUTH OF HIGHWAY 200 AND EAST OF HIGHWAY 83.

HISTORICALLY SPEAKING...A SYSTEM LIKE THIS DURING THE FIRST HALF
OF SEPTEMBER IS QUITE COMMON FOR NORTH DAKOTA...WITH AN INCH OR
TWO OF RAIN. IT IS EXPECTED THAT THE GROUND WILL ABSORB MOST OF
THE RAIN THAT FALLS...ALTHOUGH SOME MINOR PONDING OF WATER IN LOW
LYING AREAS...DITCHES...AND FIELDS SHOULD BE EXPECTED.

THE WIND WILL BE INCREASING TODAY...ESPECIALLY OVER THE SOUTHWEST
AND ALONG THE SOUTH DAKOTA BORDER...WHERE WIND ADVISORIES HAVE
BEEN POSTED.
