Colder And Wetter Than Normal Early To Mid March Possible

Atmospheric models are depicting a cold and active weather pattern across the Northern Plains through early, and possibly mid March.  As a result, the Climate Prediction Center (CPC) has forecast a high liklihood of below normal temperatures in the 6-10 and 8-14 day outlooks, as depicted by the dark blue shading in the temperature outlooks shown below. CPC has also forecast a high liklihood of above normal precipitation across west and central North Dakota during this timeframe, depicted by the green shading in the precipitation outlooks below.
