SUBJECT: CHANGE IN FLOOD STAGE AT WILLISTON ON THE MISSOURI
RIVER...EFFECTIVE APRIL 1 2011.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN BISMARCK...ALONG WITH LOCAL
AND STATE PARTNERS HAVE REVISITED THE DEFINITION OF MINOR
FLOODING ALONG THE MISSOURI RIVER NEAR WILLISTON. THE PREVIOUS
DEFINITION OF MINOR FLOODING WAS DEFINED AS 20.0 FEET OF STAGE.
HOWEVER...NO IMPACTS WERE NOTED AT THIS STAGE. THE NATIONAL
WEATHER SERVICE WILL RAISE THE DEFINITION OF MINOR FLOOD STAGE
TO 22.0 FEET EFFECTIVE APRIL 1 2011.
