...SEASONAL SNOWFALL RECORD EXCEEDED AT WILLISTON NORTH DAKOTA...

SO FAR DURING THE 2010 2011 WINTER SEASON...95.1 INCHES OF SNOW HAS 
FALLEN AT WILLISTON...NORTH DAKOTA...AND THE SNOW SEASON IS NOT OVER
YET. THIS BROKE THE ALL TIME SEASONAL SNOWFALL RECORD OF 94.7 INCHES
SET DURING THE 1895 1896 WINTER SEASON. NORMAL SEASONAL SNOWFALL IS
43.4 INCHES AT WILLISTON.

THE WINTER SEASON FOR SNOWFALL IS DEFINED AS THE PERIOD FROM FIRST
SNOWFALL IN THE FALL TO LAST SNOWFALL IN THE SPRING...USUALLY FROM
THE END OF SEPTEMBER THROUGH THE FIRST PART OF MAY IN NORTH DAKOTA.

ABOVE NORMAL AMOUNTS OF SNOW FELL IN EACH MONTH THIS WINTER
SEASON...THROUGH MARCH...EXCEPT IN SEPTEMBER. THE 35.3 INCHES OF
SNOW THAT FELL IN DECEMBER 2010 WAS THE MOST SNOW IN ANY SINGLE
MONTH...EVER...AT WILLISTON.
