A warm and dry start to February may be on the way. Shown below are the 6-10 and 8-14 day temperature and precipitation outlooks produced by the Climate Prediction Center (CPC). The valid days for each forecast are located on the bottom left of each image. The orange and red shading in the temperature outlooks indicate the potential for above normal temperatures, with the brown shading in the precipitation outlooks favoring below normal precipitation during the forecast valid time.
