Growing Season Coming To An End


OCTOBER 15TH MARKS THE AVERAGE DATE OF A KILLING FREEZE ACROSS
WESTERN AND CENTRAL NORTH DAKOTA. SOME LOCATIONS HAVE NOT YET
RECEIVED A KILLING FREEZE. HOWEVER...NORMAL MORNING LOW TEMPERATURES
CONTINUE TO APPROACH FREEZING AND WE ARE COMING TO THE END OF THE
LOCAL GROWING SEASON. CONSEQUENTLY THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE
OFFICE IN BISMARCK WILL NO LONGER ISSUE FROST ADVISORIES...FREEZE
WATCHES...OR FREEZE WARNINGS THIS FALL. THIS SERVICE WILL RESUME
NEXT SPRING AT THE START OF THE LOCAL GROWING SEASON.
