Western and Central North Dakota Spring Freeze Dates
Those who have planted or are about to plant their gardens and crops should take
precautions as an unseasonably cold airmass is forecast to remain over North
Dakota this weekend. Even though it is Memorial Day weekend, freezes and hard
freezes are still possible for many locations across the west and central. Below
are images depicting the average, earliest, and latest spring freeze dates.
A freeze occurs when temperatures fall to or below 32 °F.
A hard freeze occurs when temperatures fall below 28 °F.
