Recreational Forecast Issuance started on May 13

The National Weather Service in Bismarck has begun issuing the Recreational Forecast, including the lake wind and wave forecast, on May 13. These forecasts will also be available in graphical form on the Lake Wind and Wave Forecasts page.

The wave forecasts are experimental forecasts as there is no bouy data available on either lake to verify forecast wave heights. We welcome your comments and reports about these experimental wave forecasts. Please send all comments and reports to w-bis.webmaster@noaa.gov.
