Colorado Severe Weather Awareness Week (Updated)

Governor Ritter has proclaimed April 19-25, 2009 as Colorado Severe Weather Awareness Week.  During this week the National Weather Service will issue daily statements on thunderstorm hazards, thunderstorm safety, and watches and warnings.  To view the statements, go back to the "News Of The Day" and click on "Severe Weather Awareness Week Daily Informational Statements".

On Tuesday April 21, weather permitting, a test tornado warning will be issued by the Boulder National Weather Service Office at 0915 AM MDTNote this time has been updated from 815 AM MDT. This warning will be labeled a test, but will get the same dissemination as any tornado warning, including an alarm on NOAA Weather Radio, and activation on the Emergency Alert System.  This allows everyone to check both their warning reception and warning dissemination systems.
