A wet microburst causes extensive wind damage in Arvada...

Analysis of doppler radar showed a band of continuous wind gusts of 53 mph or greater on Monday July 20 at 1013pm just northwest of Arvada, and continuing into northwest Denver at 1024 pm. The peak gust of 61 mph was indicated 1 mile southeast of Arvada at 1015pm. No rotation was seen on radar, and the wind damage was associated with a strong wet microburst.
