On Monday, June 25th, 2007, NOAA’s National Weather Service, Central Region Forecast Offices began providing a new service online - the "Weather Story". The service goal is provide a snap shot of the most important weather feature affecting the WFO’s local forecast area.
The "Weather Story" is a graphical presentation of the most significant weather feature expected to impact the local area for the next seven days. The Weather Story can depict weather threats such as thunderstorms, heavy rainfall, strong winds, fire dangers, and excessive heat; or, highlight a pleasant stretch of weather.
The graphical "Weather Story" is accessed on the local WFO web site at the tag found on the upper right corner of the "Top News of the Day" section of each Forecast Office Web Site.
This service is available on all NWS Central Region Forecast Office web sites and updated by 8 a.m. local time each day.
A customer survey link is provided on office web sites in the "Top News of the Day" for your thoughts and comments.
