Patsy Austin Receives Length Of Service Award

Cooperative Weather Observer Patsy Austin of Bucklin Kansas was presented with a 10 year length of service award on Monday, November 23rd by Jesse Lee, Observing Program Leader from the National Weather Service in Dodge City.  Patsy's husband Keith was the primary observer before he passed away earlier this year.  Keith's name was also on the award.  Patsy took over as the primary observer.  Patsy and Keith began recording precipitation data in 1999.  Keith took the site over from Tom Luft.  The Bucklin station has been in existence since 1888.
