Jan 9-10 Snowfall Totals

A winter storm brought snow to western Kansas from late Sunday afternoon through early Monday evening. Most of the snow fell Sunday night and eased up early Monday morning. A band of light to moderate snow developed between Hays and Meade late Monday morning. This band moved southeast into central Kansas. The snow had ended Monday evening.   The highest amounts of snow ended up from Trego County to Ellis County where three to five inch reports were common. There was a 7 inch report south of Collyer and a 7.5 inch report at Victoria. Ness City and LaCrosse had four to five inches of snow. Around three inches of snow had fallen from Medicine Lodge to near St. John in south central Kansas. Between one and two inches had fallen from Ashland to Jetmore westward to the Colorado state line. Liberal had three inches of snow, while Syracuse in Hamilton County received less than a half inch.
