Winds Howl Across Southwest Kansas on Saturday 24 February

An intense surface low pressure system developed over southeast Colorado Saturday night and moved across western Kansas during the day Saturday. A very tight pressure gradient behind the surface low pressure system produced strong surface winds across most of western Kansas during the day Saturday. The following are a few of the peak wind gusts that were reported:
