Downburst Damages Home
A downburst slammed into a home and the surrounding area north of Spearville on July 26th. Wind speeds approaching 120 mph could have occurred based on the amount of damage that was observed.

There was one minor injury to a male but it could have been much worse. Look inside at this damage! The owner was standing next to the couch when a door blew off its hinges, striking him in the leg

And look at the kitchen! The occupants of this home were VERY lucky to escape serious injury!

A nearby cemetery across the highway also sustained quite a bit of damage, primarily to trees but a few head stones were also toppled.
