The average temperature was 71.2 degrees, which was 1.9 degrees above normal.  The average high was 85.1 degrees and the average low was 57.3.  There were no 100 degrees days for the month.  The warmest temperature was 98 degrees on the 6th and 16th and the coolest was 43 on the 11th.  The total number of 100 degree days for the June through August period was 11, with 10 of those in August.  One record low was set and that was on the 11th with 43 degrees.  A record highest minimum temperature of 66 was tied on the 29th. 

The average wind speed for September was 13.2 mph and the highest gust was 49 mph on the 29th.  The amount of sunshine for the month was 74 percent.
