Much Needed Rain Falls

Much needed rain fell across a large part of southwest Kansas late August 22nd and into the early part of August 23, 2005. Rainfall was general with many areas receiving from 1/2 to 1 inch. There were unfortunately some areas that did not get much. But, there were also areas that got substantial rainfall, from 2 to 3 inches!. A listing of reports can be found here 24 hour rainfall. Or see the rainfall map of the area 24 hour rainfall ending early 8/23/05. Also, see a radar loop of activity for one hour starting at 11 PM and ending at Midnight. The file is around .5MB it may take a minute or two to load (depending on intranet speeds). radar loop
