Dec 27th -- Yet another Southwest KS Snowfall!

A strong upper level low developed across the southern Rockies during the overnight hours of December 26th and tracked across the Texas Panhandle by the evening of the 27th.  The track of this low was ideal for more widespread accumulating snow for much of Southwest Kansas.  A deficiency of low level moisture limited widespread heavy snow amounts, however 2 to 5 inches did fall over much of the area.  Here is a graphic of the snowfall amounts received from this storm:
