Memorial Day Weather History

Memorial Days in the past at Duluth and International Falls have ranged from highs in the 90's to lows below freezing. At Duluth, the warmest Memorial Day on record was in 1939 when the temperature reached 95 degrees. The coldest was in 1992 when the low was 30. The wettest was in 1882 when 2.58 inches of rain fell. At International Falls, the warmest Memorial Day was in 1919 with a temperature of 90 degrees. The coldest was in 1924 when the temperature dropped to 26. 1.93 inches of rain fell in 1978 making it the wettest Memorial Day on record.
