Time to dust off the cobwebs of the winter and gear up for the spring by attending a Skywarn spotter training session.
Skywarn spotters play an important role in the NWS's warning mission, by keeping eyes on storms and letting warning forecasters know when a storm could or is producing tornadoes or severe weather. This helps us warn others of life-threatening weather coditions.
We urge current Skywarn spotters to get retrained at least every four years. And we welcome new spotters.
Feel free to come to any of the training sessions below. These will be conducted by National Weather Service meteorologists.
